How's it going in Physical Diagnosis?

Observations, tips (for those of us taking it in January), anecdotes?

Memorize the homeworks for the final. Harvey's pretty cool. Battistone's voice put me to sleep every time during Heart Sounds. The 4th year preceptors were awesome (at least mine were). Standardized patients were also very good to work with.

I loved PD (excluding waking up at 8 every morning and getting out super late). You finally feel like you're doing what you should be learning in medical school. Like another person in the class told me:

"I can listen to your heart with my stethoscope in the same place doctors do now."

Don't be too cautious during physical exams. And smile during the holiday picture with Stultz and Battistone during the end.

I must admit, this was a fun week. I initially thought it was going to be pretty mellow and easy, but it proved to be a marathon of sorts (but those who have yet to go will be nice and rested up!). I only have two words of advice:
1) Don't wait until midnight the night before the first day to do the Cardiology assignment, it takes a little time.

2) HAVE FUN! I had a great group, and we had a blast, while learning qutie a bit of cool stuff.

Though things weren't quite the same without G.Scott, I got to know more of my classmates, and was able to spend some quality time with Dr. Stultz, that was a highlight!
